Psych Choices of the Delaware Valley is a mental health and counseling practice in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. We are about 2 miles from the Blue Route, and easily accessible by bus or trolley.
Founded in 2000 by Noah D. Freedman, M.D. and Emily Kahn-Freedman, L.M.F.T., Psych Choices now includes 20 clinical staff members. In addition to psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners (who can prescribe medication), we have therapists of different backgrounds – psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and licensed professional counselors, as well as a nutritionist.
Our practice is holistic in that we believe that healing requires more than just adjusting brain chemistry, and more than just talking about problems. Brain chemistry and talking can be important elements of healing, but equally important are the body, the emotions, the spirit, and our relationships with others and with ourselves.
You may come to Psych Choices for therapy (individual, couple or family), for medication management, or for both. Many studies have shown that psychiatric medications usually work best in conjunction with psychotherapy to help you examine and change your thoughts, attitudes, and behavior patterns. If you are uncertain about whether we can help with your concerns, please contact us by calling 610-626-8085, or email us through our website’s Contact page.
We accept most commercial health insurance plans and Medicare.
Please see our main website for more information about our treatment providers.
We can be reached at 610-626-8085. Please dial “0” to reach a receptionist, or listen for the menu options. New patients may leave a message on Extension 213; you will receive a call back from our Intake Coordinator, Ma’Nijah Dixon, who will help you set up your first appointment at our practice. Or, you may visit our Request An Appointment page, which is often the fastest way to get an appointment with one of us.
We are located at 5060 State Road in the Drexeline Shopping Center, on the second floor of the building shared with PNC Bank and several other businesses, across the parking lot from the Ace Hardware store. We are wheelchair accessible.
